Calendar of Events

 

The mission of Rotary International, a worldwide association of Rotary clubs, is to provide service to others, to promote high ethical standards, and to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.

Congratulations to the New District Governor

 

cid:3A99974B-9F63-4396-9CEF-966D082E434C@rochester.rr.comCongratulations to Jeff Krans our new District Governor and Diane Krans his lovely wife. On June 3oth Penn Yan laid out the red carpet at the Esperanza Mansion for the District Change over Dinner and Jeff was confirmed as the New District 7120 District Governor.  The Penn Yan Rotary Club is very excited about the upcoming year and all the events that cid:3D40D43B-683B-4A40-8699-6564ABA81DB8@rochester.rr.comwill occur this year including, the Annual Conference in Gettysburg, Pa. Once again congratulations Jeff and Diane.  Many of the Clubs in the 7120 District contributed banners and other items to help create a beautiful Quilt. A special thank you to Mary Ellen Morgan for all of her hard work fashioning the quilt and sewing it all together.    

July 20th – Picnic at the Perl’s - a family event

July 20th – there will be a round table at Essenhaus

August 8th – Block Party at Rob Schwartings -  picnic- 60’s/70’s theme – a family event – 2:00-5:00pm

August 16-27 – Camp Onseyawa – the Carnival is the 22nd

August 28th –  Camp Onseyawa Clean up - our club is responsible to help with take down – 9:00am

Pillars of the Community

 

In June we honored 3 Pillars of the community for their tireless work in the community.

Heather Andresen was honored as the cid:6D2816E1-D524-47C8-A6B7-27FFF5B87087@rochester.rr.comStudent Pillar. Heather has created non-profit organization called Kid Care. She has raised thousands of dollars for clothing for kids. She was also award a Grant for $5000.00 to continue her work. The Penn Yan Rotary awarded her a Laptop computer to help with her organization.

Sue Andersen was honored as the Rotary Pillar. She works tireless not only as a member of the Rotary but as a community member. She is involved in many organizations and is a wonderful role model for her children, Rotary and the community
